This adventure began with a move to Urbana, IL to attend school at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Jared, my oldest son, was 12 at the time of the move with 2 younger brothers, Tyler 9 and Sean 8. My husband Dave was a long haul truck driver at the time. This meant I spent most of the 4 years as a single parent. Jared kept the 3 boys on time to school all 4 years when I had to be at school before they even got up. He was mature beyond his years from the start. Jared was not tied down to the brothers though. He was able to go to Boy Scout National Jamboree in 2010 and to Philmont Scout Ranch in 2012. He had trips with his grandparents to New York and Italy. He saw the Colosseum and Pompeii. Jared was in love. He was one of those kids you never forget. He was an organ donor helping many more people with his passing. We have been blessed to meet the recipients of his heart and one of his kidneys. I miss him every day. I am in this profession for my love of animals but I would not have made it this far without Jared. Dave, Tyler and Sean keep me going strong. I hope to share my passion and compassion with you and your pet families.
